Fluffy Paleo Flax Bread
Ingredients
- 6 Tablespoons grape seed oil
- 3 medium or large eggs
- 1 Tablespoon honey (1 teaspoon works just as well and adds fewer carbs)
- ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup flax seed meal
- ¼ cup arrowroot starch/flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- In a medium size mixing bowl, beat the grape seed oil, eggs, honey, and apple cider vinegar together with hand mixer. Set aside.
- In a smaller bowl, combine flax seed meal, arrowroot starch/flour and baking soda.
- With a spatula, scrape the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Line a large pie pan with parchment paper, so that the parchment paper lines the sides of the pan. Pour the batter into the lined pan. It will be thin.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Insert a fork into the middle and when the fork comes out clean, the bread is finished.
- Let the bread cool to warm and then slice into 12 pieces.
